2022 - Over Christmas week at my mom’s house, I

2022 - Over Christmas week at my mom’s house, I wrote an outline of a Yoga Business course that I could run online to help free me up to travel more, teach less in-person classes, and level up to the next stage of my career and income. I poured everything I could think of about how I’d build my own successful yoga business, Mind Body Badass LLC, onto a couple of scrap pieces of paper. I was starting to feel restless after a decade of teaching yoga for a living and knew it was time to manifest (and work) my way up to an even bigger calling: to teach the teachers. The course contained so much information that it was really daunting to think about how I’d actually put it all together. But I couldn’t get the idea out of my mind. ⁣
⁣
2023 - I began deep business research and slowly pieced together everything I needed to include in the course. I filled journals, Word docs, and the Notes app on my phone whenever inspiration struck. It was almost too much information to wrap my head around. But still I knew this was something I needed to do. It called me. ⁣
⁣
2024 - I carved out time in my calendar and committed to finally putting the course together. I launched my “Build A Badass Yoga Business” 8-week online course in September! 🥳 and I successfully ran my first cohort with graduates who left feeling empowered, supported, and eager to share the course with others. I’m so proud of it, and I know it’s something yoga teachers really do need—I see signs of them struggling everywhere and feel more and more excited about sharing the information I’ve compiled.⁣

WOW, what a year! Thank you for helping make 2024 an epic one for Mind Body Badass. From private classes for your birthdays, bachelorette parties, and corporate events to public classes all over San Diego and beyond, we covered a lot of ground and had some epic experiences. 🙏🏼✨ Here’s to a 2025 full of more growth and abundance!⁣

And of course… there’s plenty of struggle that you didn’t see, a lot that didn’t make this highlights Reel. This was also the year San Diego government chose to ban beach yoga and shut down my weekly class at Sunset Cliffs. I had one of the hardest summers of my life mourning that and the passing of my dog Peach. But 2024 also taught me how to stay strong during the hard times and to trust that losses open up new doors for new opportunities. New things came my way this year that I wouldn’t have been able to receive before.⁣
⁣
Wherever you’re at emotionally with the closing of this year, I hope you remember how far you’ve come and honor all that you’ve accomplished so far. You’re doing great in this little thing called life. Remember no one has got it all figured out, so enjoy the journey. 🩷⁣

Who else likes to workout or practice yoga even when traveling? 🙋🏻‍♀️ I try to consider it a non-negotiable part of my daily schedule even on vacation because movement helps me feel best in mind, body, and soul—even if it’s only for 20 minutes! 🧘🏻‍♀️⁣

Fellow movement faithfuls: you need a foldable travel mat. I love a hotel gym, but the mats they have are always sus af 👀 (like it was last cleaned 3 years ago). A foldable mat fits easily in a carry-on suitcase or backpack and turns any room or space into an instant yoga studio!⁣
