With daylight saving time finally here, we’re shifting our weekly Mind Body Badass Sunset Cliffs donation yoga class to a later start. Hopefully that means more of you can make it after work—and we can still flow right into golden hour overlooking the ocean!⁣

Chances are good you’re not breathing correctly. M Chances are good you’re not breathing correctly. Most of us take shallow breaths—chest-level, quick inhales, no full exhales.⁣
⁣
No wonder you feel exhausted. 😮‍💨⁣
⁣
When your breaths are shallow and your exhales are short, your nervous system stays in low-grade stress, even if you take care of your wellness in other ways.⁣
⁣
That’s why I’m constantly reminding myself to breathe properly. It makes such a difference. It’s also why I guide breath during sound baths. The bowls are powerful, but your breath is the real switch.⁣
⁣
Longer exhales tell your body you’re safe. You can soften now.⁣
⁣
Try this: Inhale for 4 counts. Feel your ribs expand to the front, sides, and back. Exhale for 6. Repeat as long as you need. 💖⁣

Sometimes people ask me how long I’ve been doing t Sometimes people ask me how long I’ve been doing this… and I never quite know how to answer. 🧘🏻‍♀️⁣
⁣
Mind Body Badass has only been an LLC for three years.⁣
⁣
But I was teaching yoga + fitness for over a decade before that. And even before that, I had a whole education and career in television writing—which absolutely influences how I approach storytelling, branding, and building a business.⁣
⁣
I started blogging and posting seriously on social media in 2016. Back then, Mind Body Badass didn’t exist. I called it Infinite Embers. I shared what I was learning in real time. What I was building. Who I was becoming. I was just trying to make sense of life in my late 20s and my evolving wellness journey.⁣
⁣
I felt this constant pressure—from myself and my circumstances—to create something bigger for my life. But I didn’t fully understand what that “something” was until a group booked me for a private yoga class in 2021.⁣
⁣
There was never a big launch moment.⁣
⁣
My path has been a slow evolution:⁣
studio instructor → community organizer → private yoga teacher → CEO → now multi-city bookings in my late 30s.⁣
⁣
And MBB is still evolving. Just like me. ✨⁣
⁣
Leading a sound bath for @lolagarcia_25’s Galentine’s Pilates event in Indio last month felt like a reflection of that growth. Quieter. More grounded. More powerful.⁣

I don’t rush the becoming anymore. I build it. 💖⁣
⁣
Trust the process. Keep believing in the future you dream of. You create the path.⁣

High-achieving women live in go-mode. Deadlines. Decisions. Texts. Travel. Appointments. Housework. Repeat. Sound familiar? I feel you. I constantly have to remind myself to take time to just BE.⁣

This is why wellness matters. Yoga drops cortisol. Breathwork flips your vagus nerve on. Sound healing shifts your brainwaves out of stress mode. It isn’t “woo.” It’s a real, full nervous system reset that will have you feeling fully refreshed. That’s what makes it the perfect addition to your vacation—you’ll actually be able to enjoy the moment by taking time to intentionally recharge. 🧘🏻‍♀️⁣
