@amandajoycoleman is our San Diego queen of Yoga, Reiki, Sound Baths, and Animal Energy Healing. She has such a standout resume: she’s taught on sailboats in French Polynesia, in villages in Fiji, and on retreats in New Zealand. She holds a Master’s in Public Health and dreams of one day opening a healing center for people and animals alike.⁣

When you’re stressed or overstimulated, your brain When you’re stressed or overstimulated, your brain gets stuck in beta mode. But during a sound bath, the slow repetitive tones of the instruments guide your brain into alpha and theta states, where deep relaxation, creativity, and nervous system reset actually happen.⁣

Entrainment is the phenomenon where your brainwaves naturally sync to the frequency of an external rhythm—in this case, the instruments. The result is a floaty, dreamlike feeling as your brain heals with the vibrations. The science is actually so wild 🤯 and the experience is deeply restorative.⁣

1. Pick your vibe: There are MANY ways to yoga! There’s everything from active sculpt vinyasa workouts to relaxing restorative classes where you never stand up—we teach it all (our standard is a well-rounded flow somewhere in the middle).⁣

2. Don’t stress about your experience level: Almost all of our classes include someone who’s never done yoga before! We love beginners and tailor our classes for all levels.⁣
⁣
3. Dress comfy, show up as you are: This is YOUR time. Your practice. And girl, we don’t care how you look or what you’re wearing. We love sweats just as much cute matching sets.⁣

4. Add a sound bath at the end: Trust me on this one. It makes your final Savasana pure magic.⁣
⁣
5. Come with an open mind: Relax and have fun in your yoga class! We’re not here to take ourselves too seriously. This is your hour to move and feel good.⁣

Having tight hip flexors is one of the most common Having tight hip flexors is one of the most common complaints I hear, and it’s one of the most fixable! 🧘🏻‍♀️  These are my favorite beginner-friendly Yoga poses (with variations) to open up your hips and release tension. Yoga blocks help. And yes the outfit I’m wearing is from Amazon (you know your girl).  👉 Save this for your next practice and let me know which pose was the one you needed most  P.S. If you’re a runner (I’m trying to become one again 😅), a desk worker, or travel/drive a lot, your hips need this.  xo,
